About Me

Me? I like to build things and to dissect / understand everything.
legoIt could be houses, cars, legos or anything else for that matter. It just so happens Web Development is what caught my eye. I'm guessing I could be equally happy as a carpenter, engineer, or architect.

I started programming in BASIC when I was 8 on my grandma's 386. From there moved on to bigger and better things like taking apart the kitchen phone, the stereo, my 1st computer, anything I could get my hands on. I started making websites when I was 13. Had my first free-lance commercial web development job by 15. Went to college for web development and found myself teaching the teachers more than I was learning. So I switched to art/design to round out my abilities.

I love projects that are cutting edge and make me learn something new. I like making things happen on the web that are extraordinary and push the limits of today's technology.

When I'm not being a nerd for money
I'm being a nerd for fun! I spend alot of time working on my own projects or just brainstorming. I also have an obsession with music. I can appreciate pretty much EVERY type of music that exists and love most of it. I played piano growing up. Trumpet in band. Then switched over to guitar in High School. I'm currently working on getting a band started and am always looking for new people to jam with. I also enjoy Improv acting, Photography, and Video production / editing.

About ItsLennysFault.com

This site is where I do whatever I want.
At least that's the idea. I created this site primarily to showcase my work, resume, projects, etc. However, I will also use it as a blog and to post anything that I find interesting.

It really is Lenny's fault!!
No not really. Well not always. The name came from a small sarcastic argument which ended in the decision that everything is my fault and resulted in me creating an AIM name ItsLennysFault. That was years ago, but the name stuck with me and transferred into this domain name / website. However, if you really want to blame any of life's problems on me feel free.

You're a nerd so obviously you need to talk about what makes this site tick. Alright if you insist. After considering all of my options: PHP from scratch (like the previous version of this site), Drupal, WordPress, Ruby on rails. I finally decided to build this site with WordPress. It is a fairly light weight blog-centric CMS system which is pretty much perfect for this site. I plan to do alot of custom work and create alot of free WordPress modules as this site progresses, but for now it's fairly basic.

Where's the Portfolio?

In the words of Hawk Harrelson, "HE GONE!" … I'm not really trying to promote myself independently at this point so the portfolio has been removed mostly because I'm lazy and don't feel like keeping it updated. If you REALLY want examples of my work just ask.
